Cocoa Beach, Florida - USA

Located on Florida's East Coast and a quick 45 minute drive from the Orlando International Airport, Cocoa Beach boasts a variety of ride locations that are sure to please all levels of riders. The windy season starts in September and lasts through May, when cold fronts roll across Florida bringing great wind. In the summer, although not as strong, afternoon sunshine brings side-onshore thermals that are fun for light wind wave riding or downwinders. Cocoa Beach is the "local" spot for Orlando and Central Florida riders. The local crew is super friendly and always willing to share local knowledge with folks from out-of-town. Cocoa Beach is also the go-to spot for riders who visit Orlando for Conventions, Disney or Universal. With three great kite schools, two awesome local shops, and the famous shallow water "520 Slick," this is also a great place to learn. If you're visiting Florida and want to learn how to kiteboard, you have to check out Cocoa Beach.

Tarifa - Southern Spain

Perched on the southern coast of Spain overlooking a wide sugar sand beach, surrounded by Andalusian hills with pastel colored mountains of Africa visible in the distance across the water is the Tarifa. Tarifa is a very old town at a cultural crossroads between Europe and Africa, Christianity and Islam. Discovered more than twenty years ago by wind sports fans, it’s become a Mecca for kiteboarders and windsurfers looking for consistently good wind. The town of 17,000 booms to over 90,000 in the summer when kite surfers and tourists come from all over the world to vacation and ride, resulting in a vibrant night life and a town full of hip hotels, hostels, fantastic restaurants, bars and nightclubs. Because of Tarifa's truly unique package of not only great wind, but also insanely great weather, phenomenal food, fun and culture, Tarifa is a treasure of a town that is literally on everyone's "Top Lists" of places to kiteboard in the world.
